No Danger Found At New York Mills After School Lockdown

A lockdown of the New York Mills Central School District led to a safe end.
According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, it happened today around 10:41 am, and the threat was reported to a School Resource Officer. The officer, along with school officials took immediate action which involved the lockdown of the school and an investigation into the threat.
The Sheriff's Office responded additional resources which included a bomb detection K9. A search of the school was completed by officials and nothing suspicious was found.
Approximately one hour after the threat was reported officials were confident the building was safe and the school returned to normal operations.
Investigation into the incident will continue and anybody with information can contact Deputy Nicholl at 736-0141.
