The Oneida County Historical Society held its 12th annual Hall of Fame and Living Legends Awards Banquet.
The society recognizes deceased and living individuals who have made a difference in the Mohawk Valley. The executive director says the 4 living legends inducted tonight give back to the community every day, but tonight, the community is giving back to them.
"You work hard over a number of years and you have the community's interest at heart, and it's great to be recognized for those interests," says Tom Clark, Living Legend, honoree.
"The people who we are honoring tonight are those people who are really writing the story of today in the greater Mohawk Valley and they're the people that are going to be remembered in the history books of tomorrow," says Brian Howard, Oneida County Historical Society, executive director.
And we congratulate the 2012 Living Legends: Donald Cantwell, Thomas Clark, Katherine Kernan and Elaine Roehrig.
