Whether it's Facebook, Twitter or even Instagram, social media sites are buzzing about the upcoming presidential election.

And with it being just two weeks away, many people feel that they popular internet sites will continue to grow.

"You can't really escape it. I go on Facebook and everyone's got an opinion about something," Diane Olivadese of Whitesboro.

"Every time I go on Twitter it's people's political rants about who and why and what their choice is," said Carolann Hill of Richfield Springs.

During last night's final debate, on Twitter alone, over six million tweets were sent out.

And at the peak moment at 9:45 p.m. the site saw over 100,000 tweets per minute.

"It's mind blowing because that means the younger generation is getting into politics," said Utica resident, Travis Prince.

Part of that younger voter generation getting involved in James Mulvihill.

James is voting in his first Presidential election and says social media helps fill the gap between the young and the old.

"It's going to focus us to vote," he said.

And in his opinion, it even helps with undecided voters.

"They're going to stumble upon Mitt Romney and Obama and like their page and start following them and their views," he added.

But, does everyone agree that all the hash tagging and status updating is a good thing?

"I like to be informed by the media around me, but I don't want to be misinformed, because a lot of these people who are saying these things are misinformed," said Hill.

"Republican or Democrat, you hear both sides. Not only on T.V. from higher officials, but you're hearing it from people like you and I," said Prince.
