Several business and community leaders received awards, and those who came had the chance to listen to a special speaker.
This year's keynote speaker was journalist, Bob Franken who has previously worked for CNN and was a White House Correspondent.
Franken shared his views with Central New Yorkers on the hot topic of politics.
"They shouldn't be too bothered by what's going on in the political campaign," he said. "All of these come and go, and that kind of thing, but at the same time they need to recognize that there's some fundamental issues that need to be decided when the election comes."
Over 200 people came to Thursday's luncheon at Hotel Utica.
