Some area high school students got a glimpse of what it's like to be a criminal investigator today.  Utica College hosted its first Criminal Justice and Economic Crime Investigation career day.

Students got some insight from an Assistant District Attorney on what it takes to build a case. The Executive Director of the program hopes this event can help students learn about career opportunities here in Central New York.

"Most of them are seniors and about to make their decision to go on to continuing education at some college level. We think we can help them by giving them some additional information and let them know what we offer here at Utica College," said William Virkler, Executive Director of the program.

The students also learned about various software that can help solve crimes.
