One area fast food chain celebrated its grand re-opening Monday.

The McDonald's Restaurant in New Hartford kicked off festivities with a ribbon cutting this morning. Tom Clark, the owner of the business says this was his first ever McDonald's he's purchased.

The Seneca Turnpike location originally opened in 1966.

"These buildings wear out overtime. It was over 50 years old. As you can see it has the latest bells and whistles if you will. it's more of an upscale decor. It has a double drive thru," explained Owner, Tom Clark.

The New Hartford Town Supervisor declared today as "Tom Clark Day." In honor of the grand re-opening, the owner donated $1,000 to Hospice & Palliative Care in New Hartford.
