Ilion teenager granted the wish to give

An Ilion teenager was granted a special holiday wish at Sangertown Square in New Hartford on Monday.
Instead of wishing for gifts of her own, Make-A-Wish Central New York granted 14-year-old Samantha's wish of a Christmas shopping spree for her family.
Joined by her family friend, Samantha made her way through the mall to pick out special items for her parents and siblings.
She says she is overjoyed to have the opportunity to do this.
"I was excited, I didn't know what to do. My family never had a good Christmas so I'm going to make them have a good Christmas," said Samantha.
Along with picking out presents for her family, Samantha also received some surprise gifts of her own, including her own life-size cut out of Justin Bieber.
