The Rescue Mission of Utica is busy preparing lots of food for its annual Christmas Day Dinner.
Dinner will be served just after 11 tomorrow morning, following a service in the Mission Chapel. Executive Director, Rev. Bill Dodge says over 150 volutneers will be on hand, servicing and delivering over 1,200 turkey and ham dinners, with all the trimmings.
Also, everyone who comes in for dinner will receive a special gift.
"We're going to be giving away blankets and gloves, mittens, scarves, and socks to everybody who comes tomorrow already wrapped up for Christmas," explained Rev. Bill Dodge, the Executive Director of the Rescue Mission.
Rev. Dodge says so far this year, the Rescue Mission staff and volunteers have distributed food and toys to over 400 families in need.
