Flashdance - The Musical will be hitting the Stanley stage tonight and
tomorrow. Utica is serving as the "tech city" for the production. That
means the cast and crew have been living in Utica the past few weeks and
they've been building the production from square one, right here in
your backyard. The Broadway Theatre League says holding a production
like this, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a city of Utica's
size.
"They will be the first people to see it in the United States and even before it goes on Broadway. It's a colorful show, its an exciting show, and its just gonna be a lot of fun to see," says John Fehlner, executive director at Broadway Theatre League.
Show-time is 7:30 tonight. And from 6:30-7:30 the community food bank will be in the Stanley lobby collecting non-perishable food items. Tickets are still available and range from $36.50 to $61.50 and can be purchased by calling Broadway Theatre League at (315) 724-7196, visiting www.BroadwayUtica.com, or at will-call day of show.
