The Trenton Town Supervisor charged with sex abuse made an appearance in Floyd Town Court Monday evening.

According to officials, Scheidelman is accused of sexually abusing a child at his home.

Tonight's appearance was a control date, but it was adjourned.

The adjournment was a request by the District Attorney's office.

Now, according to judge Christopher Clarkin, the DA's office will have 60 days to present the case to a grand jury for a possible indictment.

Scheidelman's due back in court on March 11th.
