Anyone looking to save money on your energy bill one program may be of help.

The Central New York company, Fred F. Collis & Sons is taking part in the Assisted Home Performance Program.

Interested consumers wanting to upgrade and save money on their bill can receive up to fifty percent off eligible upgrades.

The assisted subsidy is through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority or NYSERDA.

"People realize that their heating system may be inefficient and they could save money by upgrading. A lot of times afterwards they are happy they did it because they are reducing their energy usage and saving money. But, they don't realize until afterwards of how much more comfortable their homes become," said John Collis of Fred. F. Collis & Sons.

The company will come out to do an energy assessment of your home to find out where the upgrades could be used.
