The gloves are off in the Delta, where three Democratic hopefuls are fighting for a shot at the U.S. House of Representatives.

The winner gets a shot at freshman Rick Crawford, the first Republican elected to represent Arkansas' First Congressional District since Reconstruction.

State Rep. Clark Hall says he's up to the challenge.

The former farmer and mayor says he has the experience to get things done in Washington.

As a state legislator, Hall says he worked to pass balanced budgets, improve education and helped pass the grocery tax cut, the largest tax cut in Arkansas history.

"We've been addressing what we could in the state, with Mike Beebe trying to create those jobs and economic opportunity, give some relief through the grocery taxes and doing other things- improving the education system," Hall says.

He says the Delta has a lot to offer, and he's a man on a mission.

"It's an area where we have a lot of issues that we need to address. To send a message: we're here. Arkansas is still here, we're viable, East Arkansas is part of this nation. We're going to move forward. We're going to be players. We're willing to help move this country forward. and I'm going to be their representative to make sure their message gets to Washington in a way that we benefit Arkansas and the First Congressional District.

Hall is running against Economist Gary Latanich and Prosecutor Scott Ellington.
