All eyes were supposed to be on Tampa, FL Monday, as the Republican National Convention was scheduled to get underway.

Instead, all eyes are on Tropical Storm Isaac, which is continuing to gain strength in the Gulf Coast.  As a result, the RNC will immediately recess until Tuesday after convening briefly Monday.

Eyewitness News is Your Local Election Headquarters, and your place to be, both on-air and online, for complete convention coverage.  Our reporter in Tampa will keep you up to date on all the latest information coming out of the convention throughout the week, including the speeches, and the nomination of a presidential candidate, presumably Mitt Romney.
