AMARILLO -- Here in Amarillo both the democratic and republican parties held gatherings to watch the debate.

We spoke with voters as they watched things unfold.

As you can imagine voters opinions fell all across the board.

On the one hand republican voters think President Obama has had his time and didn't keep his promises.

Now, democratic voters I spoke with told me they think Romney seems like he's doesn't care about the issues important to voters.

But no matter their party affiliation everyone's main concern tonight was the economy.

They want to know how we can fix the more than 16 trillion dollars in national debt, and still get a balanced budget.

The majority of people from all political affiliations agreed that Mitt Romney won that first debate.

And Romney saw a bump in the polls because of his aggressive performance.

Heres what voters had to say after tonight.

"I believe Romney is somebody who has set himself up very well, they arrest little girls for lemonade stands and you can't sell lemonade for a quarter but Mr. Obama has never received a normal check that's outside the U.S. government," Republican, David Crerar said.

"He needs to really show people in the Texas Panhandle that he is an independent,. He's not someone that is this liberal democrat that everybody thinks he is," Democrat and WT winniest debater.

They'll debate for the third and final time next Monday, October 22nd at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.
