It's Crawford vs. Ellington in District 1 Congressional Race

The Arkansas District 1 congressional race pits a first-term representative against a district prosecutor.

Rep. Rick Crawford is the incumbent and Republican in the race.

His challenger is Democrat Scott Ellington, Prosecuting Attorney for the Second Judicial District of Arkansas, which includes Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Greene, Mississippi and Poinsett Counties.

Both candidates have been busy putting out new campaign ads in the days leading up to election day. Crawford and Ellington are each taking the battle to social media as they use websites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to get their messages out.
