New Hartford cruises to 6-0 win over Plattsburgh

It got late early for the visiting Plattsburgh Hornets(22-2) from Section VII as they were unfortunate enough to run in to a group of determined New Hartford Spartan icers in today's Division II Frozen Four Semifinal. Before you could blink, New Hartford led 3-0 and cruised to a convincing 6-0 win over Plattsburgh and into a Sunday championship tilt against Queensbury.
The defending New York State champs let everyone who cared to know, know that the hardware currently housed at the Rec Center in New Hartford (20-4-1) would remain firmly ensconced in the trophy case there, unless someone figured out how to out-skate, out-work and out-hustle this talent laden roster.
The state's #1 ranked team showed why they deserved the well earned laurels, jumping on top of the visitors from Section VII before they knew what hit them, grabbing a commanding 3-0 lead.
How did that happen to the state's #4 ranked team? Good question. Plattsburgh traveled south from the North Country having won 21 straight games.
