Knights defeated in Lacrosse opener

The Rome Free Academy boys lacrosse team was handed a 9-4 defeat by Henninger High in the Black Knights’ season opener on Thursday in Syracuse.
Garrett Janes led the way for the Black Knights with three goals and contributed with an assist. Nick Kieffer also had a goal, while Dylan Sbarglia added on an assist. Goalkeeper John Urbanik made 15 saves.
The Black Knights will open their home season against Clinton on Monday at the Stadium.
