Proctor-RFA football returns

Section III's decision to change its 2010 high school football schedule to accommodate Thomas R. Proctor High School and Rome Free Academy was better late than never.

Yes, kudos to Section III football chairman Bob Campese for righting a wrong, and allowing Utica and Rome to renew the state's oldest high school football rivalry. Using a "blind draw" to pair Class AA football teams in one nonleague crossover each season is fine for all of the Syracuse-area schools, but first and foremost every year should be the scheduling of a Proctor-RFA matchup.
