WP:  Mike Bunal (3-1)   LP:  Don Philhower  Records: Oriskany 9-4 (4-2)     Hamilton 6-3 (4-2)  2B: Oriskany:  Nate Keating (1), Brad Sahl (1), Noah Lupini (1) Hamilton:  Dan Meeks (1) 3B:  Oriskany:  Rhett Kallassy (1) HR:  Matt Higgins (1), Mike Bunal (1) RBI's:  Oriskany:  Mike Bunal (3), Matt Higgins (2), Jake O'Neil (1), Joe Doolen (1) Hamilton:  Kinon Nolan-Finkel (1), Ben Yacavone (1), Sean Hale (1) Game Highlights: Oriskany earned a 10-5 victory over Hamilton in a CSC III division game.  Mike Bunal struck out 9 batters over 4 1/3  innings to get the win on the mound.  Bunal hit a three run home run and Matt Higgins added a two run home run to break the game open in the bottom half of the 3rd inning.  Rhett Kallassy, Brad Sahl, and Matt Higgins each had to hits apiece for the Redskins.

WP: Brandon Jones. LP:Tyler Porter. 2B: Westmoreland, Ryan Murphy, 3B: Westmoreland, Danny Smith, Nate Kierpiec. Records:Westmoreland (6-0, 11-2). West Canada (2-4, 8-5). HIGHLIGHTS Top Hitters: For Westmoreland: Danny Smith was 3 for 4 with 3 runs and 3 RBI, Craig Pawlikowski was 1 for 2 with 2 runs and 1 RBI, Travis Rogers was 3 for 4 with a 4 runs, Matt Brundage was 2 for 2 with an RBI, Nate Kierpiec was 1 for 1 with a bases loaded triple and 3 RBI. Pitching Highlights: For Westmoreland:Brandon Jones had a no-hitter. He ended up striking out 15, walking 2, and giving up 1 unearned run. The run scored in the 1st inning when the leadoff hitter (Porter) reached on a dropped 3rd strike, stole 2nd, advanced to 3rd on a ground ball out, and sccored on a wild pitch.

W: Ed Zakizewski L: Cody Robenski (0-1) 2B: RCH; Rich Vacca, Josh Blair, Mike Eisinger, Ed, Zakizewski; Remsen: Mark DiPerna, Chris Smith Mark DiPerna had three hits for Remsen and Ed Zakizewski pitched in relief for the Redwings to pick up the victory in a Division IV game. Records; RCH (5-5, 4-2)  Remsen (1-8, 0-6)

Win: Jeremy Rodriguez (2-0  Loss: Tom Appleton Doubles: Kevin Rowlands (ND)  Pat Moore (ND)   Dylan VanDresar 2 (O)  Evan Watson (O)  Bryan Sheridan (O) Homeruns:  MIke Gaglianese (ND)   Brian Chevier 2 (O)  Brian Chevier was 4 for 4 with 2 HR's and 8 RBI to pace the indians.  Nate Mallinder had three hits, Watson, VanDresar & Sheridan 2 apiece.  Mike Hill paced the jugglers w/ 2 hits and 2 rbi.  Gaglianese and Morre each had 2 hits.Records  ND (6-5) (4-3)  Oneida (8-4)  (5-1)

H.P. 3-3 4-6 Winning Pitcher Fallon Reinold  0 hits, 0 BBs, 15 Ks ,22 Batters faced. Clinton  2-4  4-5 Losing Pitcher Mariah Gibson  14 hits,4 Ks, 0 BBs, 4 errors. Holland Patents Fallon Reinold was 1 batter from throwing a perfect game while throwing her 1st no hitter of her H.S. career. The first batter of the game for Clinton, hit a bloop just over HPs pitchers Reinold's head ,with Shortstop Lexi Lyon and Reinold getting tangled up for the error ,to allow Clintons only runner of the game . Reinold went on to retire the next 21 batters of the game while recording 15 Ks and 0 walks. She also had 2 hits, Leading HPs offence was Senior Karlene Freiermuth with 3 singles and 3 runs scored going 3-3 and was hit by a pitch. Brit Lenaghen and Briana Carmen also had 2 hits each and Junior Randi Strumpfler hit a triple.

Mt. Markham Pitcher- Paige Atwell  3 strike outs, 3 walks, 5 hits Amanda Drake  -  HR 3 errors in field Cooperstown Pitcher- Anna Samms   1 walk, 13 strike outs, 1 hit Hascup-  3B Haggerty-  3B 2 Errors in field

 

West Canada Valley 18, Westmoreland 3

Westmoreland suffered their first league game to West Canada Valley. Westmo's Ciara Nolan had an RBI double in the third inning, and Molly Peckham had an RBI single in the 4th inning.  Gabby Murphy scored two runs for Westmoreland.  WCV's Melanie Whiteman, Shania McEvoy and Meghan Louis had 2 hits apiece for there team. WP: Alexa Dispirito, Catcher: Meghan Louis LP: Cristina Rondenelli, Catcher: Meghan Sweeney  2B: W: Ciara Nolan, WCV: Whiteman & McEvoy 3B: WCV: McEvoy  Westmoreland 5-1, 7-2, WCV 2-3, 3-8.

 

Mohawk 7, Ilion 6

WP Kelly Herlehy LP Sam Giruzzi 2B Mohawk Traglia 3B Mohawk -Gilbert,(2)  Ilion –Fowler Records: Mohawk 4-2 Ilion 2-4 7 -4 Highlights: Herlehy struck out 8 and allowed 1 walk  Traglia and Gilbert had 2 hits each for Mohawk.  Giruzzi had 3 hits for Ilion.

Hamilton: Samantha Martin to Katherine Keever. Samantha Martin 9K's. Team record 8-2 overall, 5-1 league. Oriskany: Meghan Carlo to Savannah Bixler. Meghan Carlo 9K's. Meghan record 4-4 overall, 2-3 league. Team record is 4-5 overall, 2-4 league. Hamilton: Katie Weeks was 2 for 3 with a triple. Rachel Holcomb was 2 for 4. Oriskany: Meghan Carlo was 2 for 4 with a double and a triple. Alyssa Balfe had a double. Savannah Bixler had a triple.

 

New York Mills 10, Poland 9 (10 innings)

Mills (6-0, 7-6) 2B: Poland: Rachel Carey 3B: NYM: Allie Jennings, Carly Dziekan HR: Poland: Erin Batson, Ashley Huckabone WP: Corrin Flihan (7-6) LP: Erin Batson Poland went up three in the top of the tenth of a back and forth game, but New York Mills answered with four come back runs to take the CSC IV victory. Mills won when Brittany Englert scored on a 1 out pass ball to Meghan Keator, whom Poland sought to intentionally walk in order to load the bases. Allie Jennings (NYM) had a bases-clearing triple in the third, Ashley Huckabone (Pol) hit a three run home run to give Poland the lead in the sixth, Hailey Griffith (NYM) singled in two of her three RBIs in the bottom of the sixth, Erin Batson (P) hit a game-tying solo home run in the top of the seventh, Alicia Zielenski (P) hit in the go-ahead run in the top of the tenth, and Carly Dziekan (NYM) began the Mills rally with an RBI triple in the tenth.
