The Village of Frankfort State of Emergency has been lifted.  But, the clean-up continues.  While the roads are no longer flooded with water, Frankfort residents are still dealing with muddy lawns and flooded basements.

Highway Maintenance Crews were working to remove debris from any rivers, in order to prevent future flooding.  When crews arrived on Sunday, water was spilling out into the road.  Now what's left is a lot of mud, some debris in the rivers, and damage in and around nearby houses.

Rob Pettengil's house was spared, but his lawn is now covered with mud.  But he says the town is going to help him out by laying top soil on his lawn.  Unfortunately, Pettengil's neighbors were not as lucky.  Sunday night The Doolens had a foot of water in their basement.  And even though the water is out, their basement is still a mess.  "My house has about a foot of mud in the cellar," said Catherine Doolen.  She said the water ruined her furnace and hot water heater.  Her back yard is still flooded and there's debris all over the place.  And Doolen says she thinks it will be a long process getting her house back to normal.

The Village of Frankfort's clerk says all roads are now open, as does the highway superintendent for the Town of Frankfort.
