Fire on Jewett Pl. and Genesee St., No One Injured

Utica Firefighters and police officers responded to a call
early this morning to a multi-apartment house fire on Jewett Pl. and Genesee
St.
Chief Deputy Brendan Dunn says they arrived on the scene to find the first floor filled with smoke.
Dunn says they quickly localized the fire in the living area on the first floor. The tenant living on the first floor was not home at the time.
No one was injured and pets were safely rescued. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
