Pool Safety Reminders

As Jeff has told us, the warmer weather is here to stay for this weekend. And that also means folks are heading to the pools.
One pool store owner reminds us that pools come with risks and responsibilities.
"When you're not at home, keep the gates locked to the pool, pull the ladder off the pool, always have a parent around if you have a child that cannot swim, and have some type of lifesaving device available if there is an incident," says Steve Chruscicki, pool store owner.
Nearly 400 children drown in pools each year, and nearly 5,000 others are treated for pool-related injuries. Pool owners should take safety precautions, even when their pools aren't in use.
