The Ride For Missing Children here in Central New York is just about 3 months away, but one area fitness center is spreading awareness already.

Studio 55 in Yorkville will be hositng a 6-hour Spin-A-Thon event on Sunday - all to benefit The Ride For Missing Children. Spin instructors say riders can get a jump start on their training , and they can get a jump start on their fundraising efforts.

"It's an absolutely phenomenal cause and spinning is a great exercise, it's a total workout. A great cause locally and some great exercise for you. It will be a lot of fun and every dime that we earn goes straight toward The Ride For Missing Children," says Jay Groah, Studio 55 spin instructor

Instructors say whether your participating in the ride or not, the Spin-A-Thon is open to everyone. And it's $10 dollars to rent a bike for the hour to take part in the cycling workout.
