One famous family is in town to put on a show, but also to raise awareness for a good cause.

The cast of the Addams Family and the Broadway Theatre League of Utica is holding a blood drive today.

People who donate blood will receive a discount for tickets to the Addams Family musical playing at the Stanley Theatre tonight and tomorrow.

And here's an interesting fact, one of the cast members is a Utica native.

"Coming back to the Stanley Theatre to actually perform is amazing. I did a concert there when I was 15 or 16. I don't remember what I sang or what it was about. I also did a cabaret show there and I sang 'You're My Best Girl' to my mom," said Mark Poppleton.

The Utica native says it feels good to be back home.

Each donor will get $5 off a ticket purchased through Broadway Theatre League of Utica.
