They practice just like any team....they communicate like any team...And they compete just like any team and the RoboSpartans are good at what they do. This group of robotic enthusiasts just qualified for the world championships after taking home this award at Clarkson University.

14 year old Alex Catera says, "It's pretty cool, there's not many sporting events or anything in general that you can go and compete on a world wide scale especially with science and technology because there's so many opportunities that you get not only by being in this league but competing at the world championships"

15 year old Maysara Elazzazi says, "It's a lot of fun all the work that you put into at the beginning of the season you can all see it kind of unfold at the competition from judging where you talk about everything you do to the robot game itself where you kind of strategize with other teams."

The goal of any first tech challenge competition is of course to win, but unlike other sporting events there is a mutual camaraderie among competitors.

RoboSpartan Coach Bob Payne says, "Kids will be compete on a level that yes they want to win, but if their teammates or another team is down, lost a part, teams all chip in and rally to help get that team back on the field."
