Creating a business friendly climate was a main theme in Little Falls today. The Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Legislative Breakfast this morning. Federal, state, and county lawmakers made up a large panel that discussed the importance of business growth in our area and across the state. Each lawmaker spoke for about ten minutes, and then the community was invited to voice concerns during a Q&A forum. Coordinators say this is a great opportunity for area residents to talk directly with their elected officials.

"Normally they don't have a chance to 1-on-1, this is a chance to 1-on-1 talk with elected officials, they'll answer questions. This is important so they have a voice, it's economic growth, and to try to keep our schools going and educated so Herkimer County can come back and be a great county like it has in the past," says John Scarano, Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.

Community members and lawmakers also discussed gun control, gas prices, and minimum wage.
