What started with 7 men has turned into thousands riding bicycles for missing children. Tonight the ride for missing children kicked off their annual rider and volunteer meeting. Every year they discuss safety and medical tips as well as invite a guest speaker. Organizers say it gives people the opportunity to connect before the actual ride.

Tony Artessa, a member of the Ride Leadership Team says, "Old friends to meet and greet, new riders to learn more about our cause and generally just to bring people up to date on our success and things that we're working on going into the future."

Before the ride on May 17th, organizers have four more meetings scheduled for rider and volunteers in case you missed tonight's.  Volunteers to help out on the day of the ride are still needed.  Visit www.therideformissingchildren.com/get-involved/volunteers/   for more details.
