After a 6-month debate, members of the Concerned Citizens For A Better Herkimer County are pleased.

Back in June, Herkimer County Community College stopped broadcasting county legislative meetings and committee meetings on public access station channel 99. Officials say the broadcasting was halted because of financial issues and student availability. But the Concerned Citizens group have been working to change that and now, they say the meetings will back on-the-air on channel 99

"To have an informed electorate you need to be able to know what is going on and how can people have the ability to vote on who is going to be in legislature, if they dont know what is actually going on? So we thought it was a paramount decision to make that ability available to the public again," says Robert Drumm, chairman of Concerned Citizens For A Better Herkimer County.

The Herkimer community can now tune in to watch the meetings on channel 99 every Monday and Wednesday at 9pm.
