Search For Herkimer Superintendent Continues With Community Online Survey

By: Rachel Polansky
Updated: December 5, 2012
After being delayed by the school merger vote, the search for a Herkimer Central School District superintendent continues. Board of Education members say the district is on the hunt for an interim as well as permanent administrator. As they search for the permanent superintendent, board members also say they want residents feedback. That's why they're using an online community survey.

"The idea is to elicit as many ideas as possible. And this is an easy way for people to that, its anonymous so people who may be reticent to come to a public meeting have the opportunity,"Mark Vivacqua, search consultant and Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES district superintendent.

The interim is expected to begin January 1st. And the permanent superintendent is expected to be chosen by May.

The online survey is available ay www.surveymonkey.com/s/HerkimerSearchSurvey and must be completed by Friday, December 21st.
