The Herkimer County Clerk was sworn into office this morning. Sylvia Rowan took the oath of office for her fifth term as Clerk. Rowan says she has many goals for her new term, including improving the county's technology.

"Looking to see more modernization here in the office, to put our records online, we'd like to offer more customer service rather than having people going online, they can come in the office. I'm here to help people to offer them the services that I can and also to make this a very good office that people can come in and use," says Sylvia Rowan, Herkimer County Clerk.

Other Herkimer County officials also took the oath of office. John Stock was sworn in as Deputy County Clerk. Kathleen Decker and Kathleen Cassella were sworn in as Special Deputy County Clerks.
