The governor laid out his 7-point gun control plan, calling it a policy that's "reasonable, balanced, and measured."

But in the village of Ilion, which is built around the gun manufacturing company Remington Arms, tighter gun laws are worrying some state lawmakers. Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney says Remington has threatened to leave New York before and she worries they may follow through this time.

"1350 jobs, I mean I can't event imagine what the pay roll is. It's a private company. But let's put it this way when we lost Oneida Facility, that was $37 million in annual payroll and that was 500 state employees. So that would be devastating to our community and not to mention it is a venerable American brand, it is iconic," says Claudia Tenney, Assemblywoman (R/C/IP-New Hartford).

Remington Arms threatened to pull out of Ilion when the assembly approved a bill to require implant codes on shell casings, that would identify bullets to the guns that fired them, a process called microstamping. The state senate hasn't voted on the bill yet.
