The smell of macaroni and cheese filled the building at one area organization.

Today the Arc, Oneida-Lewis chapter in Utica held its first ever "Mac N Cheese Bake Off."

The idea all started with some friendly competition between the CEO and their residents. Organizers say the event is a bonding experience with staff and individuals in the Arc.

"It allows us to include the staff, the board and the volunteers with the individuals that we serve. We have 1650 individuals in our services in Oneida and Lewis counties. It is amazing what we are doing to enrich the lives of people with disabilities," said Aida Mariani of the Arc.

There were eleven different kinds of mac n cheese.

Judges based their scores on creativity, taste and the most cheesiest.
