Ice Cream Shops Are Open For The Season!

By: Rachel Polansky
Updated: March 21, 2013
The first week of Spring also means some area businesses are back for the season! Although the weather may not feel like springtime just yet, area ice cream shops are back in action. We checked in with Tasty Treat in North Utica. They opened this week and the owner says the chilly weather didn't keep customers away.

"Springtime is always tricky because some days are real cold and then it turns to 60 degree weather. We wanted to make sure the shop was open for first day of spring and even though it was cooler, people stopped by, they saw the lights were on, and they were just as excited as we were to open," says Mike Mancuso, owner of Tasty Treat.

And Mr. Mancuso says he had about 75 customers on his first day back.
