Call it a sign of the times -- one area county is going social. Oneida County announced today its personnel department will be posting announcements on Facebook and Twitter. The county says it will post updates and information on civil service examinations.. which is used to fill job vacancies in local government. County Executive Anthony Picente says this is one way to stay connected with younger generations.

Picente says, "Some of them may be more intuned to their own Facebook and Twitter and seeing those symbols and for us to be on those would really enhance our ability to get the message out."
