It's one of the biggest charitable events in Central New York, and it's just one week away. For the 16th consecutive year, Utica College will host America's Greatest Heart Run & Walk next Friday and Saturday. But some area businesses are already preparing; The Fitness Mill in New York Mills held an early registration this morning.

"With heart disease and stroke being a very big killer, it's a great thing to bring to people's attention that staying fit and healthy is great way to do it, and this Heart Run and Walk is a great way to make people aware of that. And they're basically just getting their spirits up. It's like the Christmas Eve of the Heart Run and Walk,"  says Anthony Mandia, Fitness Mill employee.

The annual Heart Expo will be next Friday March 1st and the annual Heart Run and Walk will be next Saturday March 2nd. All proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.
