June 20th has a whole new meaning to the city of Utica.
The Common Council and Mayor Robert Palmieri honored the Utica Brewers Baseball Club Wednesday night for their dedication to the community.
The recognition also came with an official day for the team.
The Mayor has declared June 20th as Utica Brewers Baseball Day.
Councilman Joe Marino says that events like this should be nurtured by the city for their community value.
"We're very honored to be a part of the community. We're all local, we've been born and raised in this community. It's something exciting for the area, for the families, for the entertainment quality in the area. It's something to look forward to go to," said Utica Brewers Executive Director, Dave Hadasz.
