Utica saw it's first baby of the new year just a little after midnight at Faxton St. Luke's.

Meet Noah Citrin.

He was born a little after 2:30 in the morning weight in at 8 lbs 4.25 oz.

New Year's Day wasn't Noah's original due date. He was supposed to come on January 11th.

As the youngest out of five children, Noah's mom, Melissa says having him was a great way to ring in the new year.

"It's fun. I think it will be interesting to see how the other kids do, especially his littlest sister, who is four. She can't wait. She wants to do everything, she's going to hold him, feed him, and be the boss," said Melissa Citrin.

Melissa says they actually have another holiday child in the family.

Her 4-year-old daughter was born on Cinco De Mayo.

Another new year baby born was Owen Hines.

He was born just before nine and although he wasn't the first one born at St. Luke's, Owen is the second new year baby of the family.

His dad, Wayne was born on New Year's Day in 1985, and was the first baby born at Rome Memorial Hospital.

This is the family's first child and Wayne says he couldn't have asked for a better birthday present.
