It might be hard to think about summertime right now, but it's on one area organization's mind.

The Oneida County College Corps Internship Program is now accepting applications.

Officials say students shouldn't wait until the last minute to figure out their summer plans.

The program is aimed for college students to give them real life job experience and a little income.

"What we try to do is match a young person with an employee in the field, so if someone is going to school for law, we try to put them with a judge or with some other working legal professional so they get to learn the job," said Oneida County Workforce Development Director, David Mathis.

Mathis says students who participate don't have to go to college in Oneida county, but must be a resident there.
