Hometown Hero Benjamin Munyan

Army National Guard Sergeant Benjamin Munyan of Liverpool, New York, works out of the Utica Armory with the Army National Guard.

He recently returned from his first deployment to Afghanistan. His wife, Rachel, says Benjamin is both proud and honored to serve his country.

He went to Great Bridge High School in Virginia until his senior year then his family moved to Liverpool, where he graduated. He also graduated from Columbia College.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and their 3 children. He also has fun putting together models and is an avid reader.
