Elsa Gillis
Elsa is thrilled to be part of our team as an Anchor and Producer for WUTR & WFXV Eyewitness News. Coming from Newtown, Connecticut, she graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in American Studies in May of 2010. While at Cornell, she had the opportunity to lead The Cornell Daily Sun’s video department, reporting on stories throughout the Cornell and Ithaca, NY communities.
Elsa also interned at News 12 Connecticut and MSNBC’s “The Ed Show” during her time at Cornell. Upon graduation, she participated in the New York Institute of Technology’s “Long Island News Tonight” program, reporting throughout New York’s east end.
In her spare time, Elsa enjoys singing, theater, cooking, fashion, and spending time with her family and friends. She is excited to further explore the central New York area and help bring the news to your living room or mobile phone.
