Rachel Polansky
Rachel is excited to join the Eyewitness News team as a Multimedia Journalist. Rachel is a 2012 Penn State graduate with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. While there, she was a reporter and anchor for the Centre County Report, a weekly news program reaching nearly 30 counties throughout Pennsylvania and New York. She was very busy covering the local and school angles of the Jerry Sandusky saga. Although it was a tough time to be a Penn Stater, Rachel says it was an incredible time to be a reporter.Her work has been recognized and honored by the Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists and other organizations.
While still attending classes, Rachel interned with WJAC-TV in State College, Pennsylvania. She also spent 2 summers interning with MTV Networks in New York City.
When she’s not reporting, Rachel enjoys yoga, drawing and painting, attending concerts and spending time with her family and friends. Rachel is happy to call Central New York her new home. If you see her, make sure you say hello! Have any story ideas? Rachel can be reached at rpolansky@wutr.tv
