A Deerfield viewer, who enjoys softball and golf, wants to know, "What weather conditions will get me the biggest bang for my buck on the golf course or the softball diamond?" Well, there are a number of things to consider here, Michael N from Deerfield! First the ball is only in the air a short time before landing back on earth, so no matter the answer, the difference in distance between best and worst conditions wont be dramatic. Second, have you considered "roll" after hitting ground? I will give you the scientific answer to ball in flight, but I will also remind you that conditions of the ground itself will also help you on roll, after boucing back to earth! Enjoy!
