Clean up has started on the collapsed building on Capital Ave. in Utica, but it's going to come with a cost.

Utica Mayor, Rob Palmieri says that its going to cost about $300,000 to complete the whole process of the clean up.

But the problem, the city doesn't have the money.

The Mayor says instances like this are those you can't prepare for.

The city is working on taking the building down to make sure it's secure, but says you can't take everything away without having the dollars to pay for it.

"We absolutely do not have the money, and as we are half way into our budget, we will try to monitor that and take care of this sooner than later. We'll look for some availability or possibility with a grant," said Palmieri.
