Elsa: In tonight's Ticked Off Tuesday, Al Schaefer has his concerns about what he fears will be the end of our national anthem. Mr. Schaefer writes, quote - "I just read about them cutting the national anthem, due to cost cuts. Are these people for real? Stop the gov't and corporate greed, close the dang loopholes for the rich and corporations, leaving social security and medicare alone. The national anthem is what we stand for, many men and women died for this blessed country, now you want to take a part of history away from us. Leave the anthem be where it stands. There is much gov't waste elsewhere." End quote
Joe: Mr. Schaefer, we here at Eyewitness News were stunned to hear that, since there's been no media chatter about it and we couldn't figure out how it could save the country any money.
After some research, we learned the commissioner of high school hockey in Pennsylvania, wants to eliminate the tradition because, as he says, "time is money." according to the state's ice hockey commissioner says "ice is very, very hard to get. We're talking $300 an hour sometimes." he says they're not unpatriotic - they just need to be frugal.
And, finally, Aaron Markis has a simple gripe tonight: He says quote, "The week is moving soooooooooooooooooooo slow." end quote.
