Oneida County Legislators will soon be voting on two proposed projects dealing with the sewer system.
The first proposal is to expand the sewer treatment plant in Utica, which is a 35-million dollar project.
The second proposal is to expand sewer work in Marcy. But, some taxpayers are raising some questions about the plans.
One concerned citizen says the plan to expand sewer work in Marcy will not benefit the taxpayers but rather the Marcy Nano Center.
"When you flush the toilet you just want to make sure that your waste water is transported to the facility and it's properly treated. That is the service you are paying for. Here the user will not be paying for an improvement to that service rather they are paying to do that service for somebody else," said Frank Motecalvo.
And he says he isn't an expert in sewer work, but he says he's been closely following the sewer district's plans.
