It's the next big technological trend; it's called cloud computing. It
lets you share computer resources over the internet. And SUNYIT held a
lecture this morning to explore the benefits and advantages of cloud
computing for small businesses. Two computer science professors gave
presentations to break down the latest trend and explain how it can help
your small business thrive.
"Companies depend to a greater and greater degree on technology to become successful or to maintain their successful status in the community and business world. And technology like cloud computing is a way for them to increase profitability, to increase their market share and to impact positively the folks who live in our areas," says Christopher Urban, lecturer in Computer Science at SUNYIT.
The cloud computing lecture was the first in SUNYIT's series of free "SUNY Best" events designed for students and community members.
SUNY BEST in the Mohawk Valley was formed in 2012 by the Center for Global Advanced Manufacturing in partnership with SUNYIT to bring together business, education, economic development professionals and labor.
