One area organization needs your help in making their eighth annual event go without a hitch.

Every year, Build-A-Bike gives away free re-built bikes and helmets to area children. Coordinators say it takes about 1,300 bikes to give away six hundred, which is their goal ultimate goal this year.

They say they accept any new, used or broken bikes and parts.

"We are roughly 200 bikes behind from the previous year. So we are putting an outcry to the community for some support. We are looking for anything, bikes, and parts. Anything that will help build bikes," said Dave Buck, the coordinator.

If you would like to donate, there are a number of drop off sites, including the Shoppes at the Finish Line in Utica, the Deerfield Fire House and the Whitesboro American Legion.
