After the news breaks...After the tears fall, after the shock sets in..the grieving begins. Tonight members of the valley community began the remembrance of 4 of their own.

Ed Backus of Mohawk says, "It set in, it set in real quick, and again the reflection is how bad of thing, how bad of a situation it really is."

Over 200 endured the freezing temperatures to reflect and come together as a valley community. And many say they believe the community will be stronger because of these events.

Melinda McMann of Mohawk says, "It's a small community, everybody knows everyone. I don't know anyone doesn't know John the barber, you know I'm sure there isn't a kid in Mohawk that hasn't had their haircut by him. You know and just to show support for him and the other survivors and the families of the deceased."

Kyrstina O'Dell of Mohawk says, "It was...I couldn't believe it, didn't think anything like this could happen to little Mohawk and Herkimer."

Alyssa Pilipovic says, "It shows how much the community actually cares about what happened and wants to see everybody safe and wants to come together and prove to everybody that we're all here for each other."
