A Chinese mobile provider wants to bring services to the United States. But one area assemblyman is concerned about a possible threat to national security. Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi says the company 'China Mobile' wants to provide service between China and the US and build facilities in America. But the assemblyman is concerned they would have access to critical infrastructure like the air force research lab in Rome - which he says could threaten national security. Mr. Brindisi says he has written a letter to the FCC and voiced his concerns.
Assemblyman Brindisi says, "This is an issue that we have concerns about here in the Mohawk Valley and before they grant a license to a state owned Chinese Mobile provider, they really need to take a second and make sure that we're going to be protected."
Assemblyman Brindisi says he's trying to make people aware before a decision is made.
